HEALTHY PWA
(Persons With Aids)
PROGRAM
Learning to make healthy choices in nutrition,
supplement strategies, lifestyle, stress management, and
exercise are important for anyone, but particularly for
persons living with HIV/AIDS. This monthly educational
program provides group members nutritional supplements at a cost well below retail and a subsidy to purchase products. The program is open to anyone, infected or affected who are interested in nutrition related to HIV/AIDS. Started over 13 years ago, this program reaches 35 - 40 PWAs each meeting held the first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.
Eve Plews, a highly respected, licensed nutritionist volunteers her time and expertise as leader of the program and provides nutritional supplements.
WELLNESS PROGRAMS
A variety of wellness programs offered throughout the year cover topics such as alcohol & drug abuse, recovery, healthy mind & body, smoking cessation, nutrition, diet, food & health issues, and domestic violence.

as the political and social issues that impact treatment and research.
