SMART Ride 3 check presentation

Trinity Charities, Inc. is pleased to announce that this past week it received a check for $57,739.87 from The SMART Ride to fund its HIV/AIDS programs.
Trinity Charities is a Sarasota based AIDS Service Organization providing services to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Trinity’s programs consist of support groups, nutritional educational programs, a food pantry, a pet support programs and an emergency financial aid fund.
This is the second year for Trinity to benefit from The SMART Ride. The SMART Ride is a 165-mile fully supported annual bike ride from Miami to Key West to raise money for HIV/AIDS Service Organizations. There are six agencies that benefited from the ride this year and Trinity is the only one on the west coast of Florida.
This year the ride raised over $360,000. 100% of all funds raised by the riders and crew goes to the agencies. The expenses of the ride come from corporate and individual sponsors.
Trinity Charities located at 7225 N. Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota is now planning for this years ride that will take place during World AIDS Day December 1 and 2, 2006. Trinity is planning a Fish Fry for each Friday during the month of March to begin to raise money for the 2006 ride. The Fish Fry will be from 5 pm to 7 pm each Friday for eat-in or take-out fish dinner.
